Testimonials ‘There are some concerts (only a few) that touch the heart and the mind together in a way that makes you just know that they will live in the memory for a long time. Your concert at the Salon on Wednesday was one of them for me. Apart from the marvellously committed and illuminating performances we always get from your trio, the programming was so interesting. The Vasks I had not heard before and thanks for introducing me to this composer. The Mozart and the Vasks were just brought together in such a wonderful way by the Part piece called Mozart Adagio. ‘Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your performance at the Grainger Studio in Adelaide on Sunday. Beethoven was so beautiful I kept forgetting to breathe! My husband has almost no experience with classical music and very little interest. He was also blown away by your performance. During the Tchaikovsky, I was slightly irritated with his fidgeting until I realised he was actually drumming his fingers in time! A perfect introduction to REAL music. Thanks so much for a wonderful Sunday. ‘Thankyou – a great concert – you made me cry!!! ‘the sheer emotional intensity of your playing left the audience in such a long ‘shell-shocked’ silence ‘You three are setting the pace for a 21st century of notable performances. Your work must be on record or future generation will 'wail and moan' in Biblical proportions - Regards to you all. ‘On the way to Adelaide for Christmas I went to Melbourne for a couple of nights and was lucky enough to hear the Benaud Trio’s performance at Federation Square. Heaven inside a Diamond! That space, the energy and sound being unsurpassable for my senses. ‘All hail the giant Benaud Trio! Congratulations. Tonight your performance was heroic. ‘WOW!! Not sure how to find the words to tell you how wonderful your performance was. You have such an intelligently architectural view of the works that I found myself listening intently to see what came next, especially in the modern pieces. And you had the extraordinary musicianship to make every note – and every silence – count. You used silence amazingly. And the colours you managed to entice out of your three instruments were just amazing. And as for the ensemble – well, WOW is all I can say. ‘We heard your version of Stairway to Heaven online from my son's room last night. BRILLIANT!!!!!!
